Rambu

Rambu

Rambu is a historic municipal building in central Tynset, built in 1889, that has long served as a familiar social and cultural hub for the local community. Since 2015, the building has been developed as an artist-run centre, housing printmaking workshops, studios, exhibition and project spaces, a revived cinema hall, and venues for events, firmly rooted in its character and local history.

Fagertun

Fagertun

Fagertun is a late-18th-century building near Rambu on Tynset’s main street that has long held a place in the town’s local history. Fully restored in 2025, it now functions as a modern artist residence connected to Rambu, offering shared living spaces and accommodation while retaining its historic character and supporting longer stays, exchange, and everyday communal life.

Tynset is a small town and municipality in Innlandet county, Norway, located in the upper part of Østerdalen valley. It sits along the Glomma River and is surrounded by forests, mountains, and wide open landscapes, giving it a strong connection to nature and traditional rural life. Tynset lies roughly midway between Oslo and Trondheim, making it a quiet but well-connected hub in the inland region of Eastern Norway.
